[OAI-implementers] DOCTYPE question

I have a situation where the metadata I'm making available via OAI has a
DOCTYPE associated with it. Although it's not part of the original document,
there fortunately happens to be an existing XML Schema that I can insert to
allow me to associate it with an OAI metadataPrefix. Nevertheless, it would
be nice if I could pass along the DOCTYPE information as well, rather than
discard it. My guess is that even if I could, a typical OAI harvester would
ignore it anyway. Any suggestions?
